IPTV noob requesting assistance
Hello All
Long time lurker here and on IPTV Reviews. I currently have the standard cable/internet setup but I'm tired of paying for cable, useless channels, no content, good channels behind paywalls (like HD channels etc) and I barely watch TV nowadays since I have little time
I have browsed this sub for a while, read reviews online, checked some other sites, etc. But the more I search, the more I browse, the more I read, the more confused I am. I was hoping someone here can clarify some things for me if it's not too much trouble
- Using a VPN is a must, no problem there. However can I use the VPN just on the device that I will be using for IPTV? Due to work restrictions I cannot use a VPN for all my connections as I work at home and need my own countrys IP address
- Coming from the previous question. If possible I would like to avoid having to use my PC to stream. I would like a device 4k capable and a bit cheap (the idea is to save money from the cable service after all) so I was thinking about the Roku or the Fire stick. What are the differences between using USB and HDMI connections? Is there one that has HDMI and wired ethernet connection?
- Are there devices that have a regular web browser? I have some local channels I like to watch and they are definitely not going to be on a provider (I live in a small country)
- With the small country in mind, is it possible to use services like Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu with a VPN as if you were in the US? Is it recommended? Or perhaps just an IPTV provider is more than enough?
- On the provider side, are there ones that only provide a "small" set of channels and mostly movies? I really don't think I would watch the local news channel from Netherlands. Can I pay for only the channels I want?
I would like an experience as close to "regular TV watching" as possible. Thanks for reading and responding
