Is IPTV dead in the water now?

I feel like this isn't going to be a fix within a month. I think it could take 6 or so months to get fixed or get back to the way it was before. All the working providers seem to be having issues with traffic and not accepting new subscriptions. Even the ones who are up have barely any channels or no EPG. Im wondering if I should go back to cable now so depressing because I just signed a 2yr internet deal at a great rate, but my cooling off period expires Wednesday so if I go past that I'm screwed cannot change providers and will have to pay a fortune for TV if I want cable added. If this doesn't get fixed. My provider choice has been down since the takedown.
