Mediapro launches in Croatia PlanetSport, five new sports channels for VipNet

Develops the project VPK PRO (Mediapro), one of the largest television companies in Slovenia, with a prominent presence in Eastern Europe and the Balkans




VPK PRO (Mediapro) has been chosen as a partner of VipNet, the second largest telecommunications operator in Croatia, to develop and operate five new sports channels, PlanetSport 1-5, which started its broadcasts on July 1.

VPK PRO provides playout services to the five Croatian channels whose programming includes the rights of the UEFA Champions League as the star content during the next three years. VPK also operates the sets of PlanetSport 1, the main one of the five channels, and is also responsible for the production in studio and live of some of its contents. VPK is also responsible for the production of local sport for the rest of PlanetSport's channels, which it provides coverage through its fleet of mobile units.

Based in Ljubljana, VPK PRO is one of the largest television companies in Slovenia specializing in the production and transmission of events as well as in the creation of television programs. It offers technical and creative solutions for the production and transmission of any audiovisual project, from sporting events to programs and television series, documentaries and feature films.
